It is just like , adding some more flavours to the already cooked dish.

Bollywood has a different craze for its songs. Bollywood is known for its creativity. Those romantic sequence , beautiful locations and powerful dialogues, Bollywood has a lot things to do . But here we are going to talk about the factor which makes Bollywood worldwide famous i.e S.O.N.G.S . Yes, songs also play a foremost role in the success of any Bollywood movie. Sometime it happens that a film doesn’t do good business on the box office but interestingly their songs get hit .

But here is the new trend in the industry  , the era of remake . It has been noticed that now most of the old songs are taken and they are replaced by the new ones which we call them as a remake. It is just like , adding some more flavours to the already cooked dish. Some of the remake which got famous recently are Tamma Tamma from the movie Badrinath ki Dulhania , Oonchi hai building and Chalti hai kya 9 se 12 from Judwaa 2 ( here Judwaa 2 is also a remake of the movie Judwa came in the year 1997 starring Salman Khan , Karishma Kapoor and Rambha ) , Dilbar from the movie Satyamev Jayate .

Here the question arises,  do the musicians has lost their creativity or its just because of the demand of the movie ? There may be one reason that race of coming first or getting million of views in the shortest time. Yes, most of the songs are judged on the basis of views they get on youtube after the release or their popularity on social media . Also if the song is ranked on the top 10 among the chartbusters it is also considered to be a hit . But remake is really needed. If we are asked why songs are included in the movies, so some will answer that so as to make a film more entertaining or interesting, some will say that songs are included to balance the story or plot of the movie. But in most of the caes , remakes were included in the film and nothing was related to the story. It is just making a song worse by adding some extra lyrics of no meaning and irrelevant rap.

On a positive note , the remake of the famous old songs gets popularity as they are considered one of the dance hits.  Making a remake is also not an easy task. It also includes same efforts put in an original song. It is a challenge itself for making a remake because a pressure is always there to make a good remake from the original one as it is but obvious that the remake will be compared with the original one.

We must agree on the fact that Old is gold. Old songs contained some meaningful lyrics as lyrics were written by one of the best lyricists of that time like Gulzar , Javed Akhtar etc. Main reason of the popularity of the old song in this new millennium era is the meaningful lyrics and the strong playback singers. Nowadays , a song is removed from the chartbusters once a new song comes. But old songs are still remembered and have that same craze. Lousy and corny rap which is included in the remake makes the song worse.

Let us tell you the formula of making a remake . First of all , an old song is taken then some changes are done with lyrics and with the music as well and at last our Bollywood so called rapper’s like Badshaah , Raftaar , Honey Singh or Bohemia add some tadka in this process. It should be realised that songs are meant for entertainment and to give a support to the storyline . Making a remake is not a bad thing to do but if they are ruinig the essence of the old songs so they must be avoided to some extent.
